OVERVIEW

 MEETING AGENDA

 FOR THE PROJECT:

 OBJECTIVES AND DELIVERABLES

PRIOR TO THE KICK-OFF MEETING

Objective

The objective is to establish a steering / stakeholder group in each country that includes members from the industry. This group will then select one person to participate in the development of the courses by going to the work meetings in all the partner counties as well as take part in hosting one meeting. This steering group will provide an overview of current situation in each participating country, mapping the potential programs to best reach the people working in the tourist industry, opening doors to knowledge sharing and education development in relation with tourism.

Work

All the project partners will contact a number of diverse tourism companies and with them form a steering group with a broad knowledge of the industry. From that group, one representative will be chosen to take part in the work meetings that follow.

Deliverables

A fully established steering group in all partner countries as well as a formed group of three people to participate in the following work as well as working material to bring to the kick-off meeting.

This output changed a bit during the process of the project as can be viewed in  platform result

KICK-OFF MEETING IN ICELAND
23rd AND 24th OF NOVEMBER 2015

Objective

The objective is to bring all the partners and the tourist representative (i.e. those chosen from the steering group) together for introduction. From that time this group will be the consortium. At the meeting the partners will decide on the theme of the courses to be developed during the upcoming work meetings and delegate work between the partners. In addition, the host will take the group to visit a number of the leading tourism companies in the region.

Work

1.  The kick off meeting will take place in Iceland. Each partner will bring a group of experts to the meeting that will then present their suggestions on what subjects to focus on. This should conclude with a mutual decision on what each partner will work on. The meeting will also decide on how to present these courses and through what channels to publish the work.

2.  A tour to meet the leading tourism companies in Iceland will give the consortium a better understanding of the current situation in Iceland as an input for the context in which the courses should focus on.

Deliverables

After the kick off meeting all the partners should be clear on what they want to focus on during the development of the courses.
